Artwork consignment auction

/Service Description: Based on the artist's work type, we select the most suitable Japanese art auction house to participate in the auction. We also assist with the production, preview, settlement, and transportation of the works.

Auction consignment service process

1. Click on the 【Auction Commission】 at the bottom of this page, fill in the relevant information, and our staff will contact you within 3 business days.

2. Depending on the artist's field of expertise, we will select a dedicated agent to contact the artist.

3. After the artist and our agent reach a preliminary consensus, they will sign an auction consignment contract and pay the corresponding consignment service fee within 7 working days.

4. After the contract is finalized and payment is made, the agent will begin developing an auction plan for the artist's work. Once the artist and agent confirm the publication plan, the agent will contact auction houses to proceed with the auction process.

5. Artists may choose to attend the auction in person or have our company act as their agent to participate in the auction activities, including introducing and exhibiting the works.

6. If the artwork is sold at auction, we will be responsible for settling the payment with the auction house. We will pay the artist the remaining amount after deducting commission within 7 business days of receiving the payment.

1

How to choose an auction house

Japan has art auction houses of all sizes and types, and the types of collectors participating in auctions vary greatly depending on the auction house. We will select the most suitable Japanese art auction house based on the artist's works, genre, and style.

2

Starting price assessment

After receiving your auction consignment, we will work with the auction house to assess and price the artwork. Of course, you can also specify a starting price according to your requirements.

3

Works preview

The original artwork needs to be transported to the auction house. Different auction houses will hold exhibitions of the artworks before the auction. You can attend the exhibition yourself and introduce your artwork to the collectors attending the exhibition, or you can entrust us to introduce your artwork to the collectors on-site.

4

Settlement

After a work is sold, the Japanese auction house will charge a commission of 11%-16%. We will be responsible for settling the funds with the auction house, or assisting the auction house in returning any works that can be sold to the artist's designated location.
