For individual artists, corporations, and social organizations wishing to hold exhibitions in Japanese museums, we offer a one-stop curatorial and production service, from curatorial proposal to on-site execution. Based on paid venue rental, we strictly adhere to each museum's usage rules, acting as the organizer or co-organizer to ensure the successful completion of the exhibition.

 

Contents of the commission

 

1️⃣ Venue matching and recommendation

 

  • Nationwide coverage: From art galleries and museum exhibition halls across Japan to annexed rental spaces and public cultural facilities, we match the most suitable exhibition venues based on the theme and budget.

  • Condition comparison: Exhibition hall area, floor height, lighting conditions, circulation arrangement and related usage restrictions, to ensure that the exhibition is in line with the characteristics of the venue.

 

2️⃣ Curation and application support

 

  • Curatorial text: proposal and exhibition description, list of works, exhibition layout and circulation plan, to form a complete application.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Representing clients in liaising with museums to handle schedule applications, confirm conditions, negotiate budgets, and streamline procedures.

 

3️⃣ Contract and Compliance Management

 

  • Procedures: Venue rental agreement, loan agreement, insurance, and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Copyright Confirmation: This section confirms the copyright, display license, and usage guidelines for the images and works involved in the exhibition, to avoid future risks.

 

4️⃣ Production and Execution

 

  • On-site setup: exhibition setup, lighting design, wall text and captions (English/Japanese/Bilingual support in Chinese).

  • Promotion and launch: Assist in the production of posters, brochures, and exhibition information, and prepare for the opening ceremony or related exchange activities.

 

5️⃣ On-site operation and case closure

 

  • Staffing: On-duty personnel, media reception staff, and on-site coordinators.

  • Follow-up work: dismantling and returning the works, assisting with the transportation of the works, and compiling the closing report and photo/video materials.

For directors, production companies, and art institutions who wish to have their independent films screened in Japanese cinemas, we offer a one-stop integrated service from cinema coordination to screening arrangements.

This service is based on the "venue rental screening" model and does not involve a commercial distribution model that shares box office revenue with cinemas. Instead, it is based on the premise of paying for the rental of cinema venues to ensure that the works can enter Japanese cinema screens in a formal and compliant manner.

Contents of the commission

1️⃣ Cinema matching and release schedule coordination

  • Venue coverage: Coordinate with independent art cinemas, cultural cinemas, and some chain cinemas throughout Japan to select screening venues suitable for the positioning of the works.

  • Schedule application: Based on the film's length and screening needs, communicate with the cinema regarding the schedule, opening and closing times, rental terms, and fees.

2️⃣ Screening Permit and Compliance Procedures

  • Eirin application: Assisting films in passing the rating and review of the Japan Film Ethics Committee (Eirin) to ensure legal screening.

  • Relevant procedures: confirmation of screening rights, inspection of material copyright, translation of subtitles and compliance of technical documents (DCP, etc.).

3️⃣ Screening Production and Technical Execution

  • Test screenings and technical verification: Coordinate with cinemas to conduct test screenings and check audio-visual synchronization, subtitle compatibility, and projection equipment compatibility.

  • Screening Management: On the day of the official screening, on-site coordination will be provided to ensure the smooth operation of entry, publicity, screening and dismantling.

4️⃣ Publicity and Audience Mobilization (Optional)

  • External promotion: Assist in designing posters, e-flyers, and press releases; contact media outlets or film critics for film screening coverage.

  • Activity extensions: Post-screening discussions with the director, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with the audience can be planned to enhance audience interaction and increase the film's reach.

Publishing

Editing and producing print books, artist catalogues, photography collections, picture books, comics, and physical music (CDs/vinyl/cassettes) in the field of Japanese publishing art.

 

Contents of the commission

1️⃣ Initial Stage and Compliance
• Prior consultation and planning: target audience, specifications, budget assessment, and timeline development.
• Compliance review (basic): Verification of copyright/licensing chain, and alerts to sensitive content and legal risks.
• Templates and Documents: Author statements and third-party material authorization templates are provided and organized.

 

2️⃣ Translation and text processing (on demand)
• Translation and localization (Chinese-Japanese, etc.), glossary and style guide creation.
• Language proofreading/editing: error correction, grammar and terminology consistency, style standardization; proofreading of sample pages.

 

3️⃣ Publication Specifications and Design
• Specifications: format, number of pages, paper (text/cover), binding method (perfect binding, sewn binding, PUR, saddle stitching, hardcover, etc.), color mode and screen ruling.
• Visual design: cover/obi band/slipcase/ spine/ and back cover layout, title page and table of contents system.
• Image and comic processing: scanning/moire removal/color management/resolution and dot control, page spanning and bleed safety area checks.
• Layout and typesetting: Professional typesetting tools such as InDesign, with consistent style for footnotes/citations/references.

 

4️⃣ Number and payment
• ISBN allocation and metadata preparation (title, author, price, genre, etc.).
• C code suggestions and book JAN (price barcode) production; back cover barcode layout and labeling.
• Check the design and legal elements of the O-Pay (publication information page).

 

5️⃣ Proofing and Pre-press
• Sample reading (PDF/digital proof) and color proof; comparison of key areas in large images.
• Pre-press inspection: Font/link/bleed/black plate overprinting/color separation check.
• Paper pattern and process confirmation: lamination, hot stamping/embossing, spot UV coating, laser engraving, inkjet printing on the book edge, etc. (as needed).

 

6️⃣ Printing Coordination in Japan
• Inquiry and Factory Selection: Match Japanese printing companies based on process/cycle/budget.
• Production of printing instructions, on-machine printing supervision (optional), finished product quality inspection and defect review.
• Sample book delivery: Sample books including the original copy for use (standard: 4 copies, can be adjusted as needed).

 

7️⃣ Legal and Documentation
• National Diet Library's statutory book collection processing.
• Compilation of bibliography and metadata (basic information required for JPRO/Quci/e-commerce registration; only materials are prepared, not for online implementation and integration).

 

8️⃣ Editing and production of physical music (CD/vinyl/cassette) (on demand)
• Layout and packaging design: cover/waist cover/inner lyric booklet, stickers and batch number labeling.
• Master tape and parameter integration: Coordination of sampling rate/bit rate/cutting and tablet compression parameters.
• Product identification codes and barcodes: Production of product JAN barcodes; (if required) assistance in connecting with relevant coding application and rights management agencies.

 

9️⃣ Project Management and Delivery
• Milestone and schedule management, version and revision history.

Music

We cater to classical (pure music) projects, including solo/ensemble performances, academic groups, choral works, and opera excerpts. Our services are conducted in formal concert halls, theaters, cultural centers, and university auditoriums in Japan (e.g., Kyoto Concert Hall). These projects are based on paid venue rentals, adhering to each venue's usage guidelines, with us providing production support at the organizer/co-organizer levels.

 

Contents of the commission

 

1️⃣ Planning and Programming
• Theme and structure: overall duration and chapters (including intermission), version and style of the songs, and pronunciation/translation proofreading of foreign language works.
• Lineup and budget: Match the arrangement of solo/chamber music/chorus with the stage and cost; set up A/B alternative pieces to ensure compliance and rehearsal feasibility.

 

2️⃣ Venue selection and booking assistance (formal concert hall/theater)
• Venue selection: hall type and seating capacity, stage size and rigging points, auxiliary equipment (reflector/choir platform/platform/pipe organ/piano model).
• Schedule and rules: Opening and closing times, move-in and move-out times, noise and lighting restrictions, and the configuration of dressing rooms and waiting rooms.

 

3️⃣ Stage and technical coordination
• Stage layout and stage positions: Seating/stage position chart, stage change flow and timeline, lighting cue and (if required) sound reinforcement configuration.
• On-site execution: stage management and calling, side stage/backstage management, supplies and contingency (music stands/piano benches/power supplies/backup microphones).

 

4️⃣ Rehearsal and General Rehearsal Management
• Schedule design: Progression table of sub-sections → synthesis → final rehearsal; application for final rehearsal time slots in the venue and rehearsal of lighting/recording.

• Copyright application: JASRAC/NexTone usage guidelines, track list format and report nodes, sheet music rental/version certificate organization.
